One among my incredible mentors brought up an interesting question in a teleclass this week: Do you attract episode in your life or business? tcc sem drama
Your first instinct might be to reject it. But what is drama really?
The book meaning of “drama” is a state, situation, or series of events regarding interesting or strong turmoil of forces, or too much emotional performances or reactions.
Well, I don’t know about who you are, but if that is how drama is described, I certainly can’t say that I haven’t experienced my great number of it.
And if you are launching or working small businesses00, it is likely you have too.
What does drama do to us? Well, drama creates stress. And unless you have been living under a rock within the past few years, chances are that you observed about what stress can do to your body. A quick refresher:
“The body doesn’t separate physical and psychological threats. Once you’re stressed over a schedule, an argument with a friend, a traffic jam, or a pile of bills, your body reacts just as highly as if you were facing a life-or-death situation. In case you have a lot of duties and worries, your emergency stress response may be “on” almost all of the time. The greater your human body’s stress system is stimulated, the easier it is to trip and the harder it is to shut down.
Long-term exposure to stress can cause serious health problems. Chronic stress interrupts practically every system in your body. It can raise stress, suppress the immune system, improve the possibility of heart attack and stroke, lead to infertility, and speed up getting older. Long term stress can even develop the brain, leaving you more vulnerable to anxiousness and depression. inches
Yuck, right? I know that none of us want to manage these physical and emotional risks.
Therefore, how do we prevent ourself from becoming another stress-related statistic? The answer is in the simple question: Do you create episode, attract it, seek it out… Will you be a drama junkie?
This kind of takes some real soul-searching to get to the answer.
The first destination to look is your earlier to see if there are patterns that you can see in your life – patterns in your relationships, your work experiences, your family, your money situation, and so forth… Most of all of us continue in those periods in life until we become aware of those cycles and make a firm decision to modify their experience and the results of those experiences.
Understand that famous quote by Albert Einstein about cycles? This individual said, “Insanity is doing a similar thing over and over again and expecting different results. ”
I i am here to say that drama is merely about the most destructive cycle you can get caught in as the owner of a business. Besides the awful physical and psychological havoc it can destroy upon you, it can also undo all of your diligence, make forward improvement difficult if not impossible, and can ruin respected relationships.
In whatever way you look at it, drama can hurt you, your business and your bottom line.
Therefore, where is YOUR drama?
Found in your environment? Is your workplace a mess? Carry out you have clutter in your workspace? Are you months behind on your filing?
In your pocket? Are you up-to-date on your bookkeeping? Are there a box, file or load of receipts accumulating that you keep forgetting to do something with? Carry out you have unpaid expenses or an unbalanced lender account?
